batting eyelashesAs usual, woke up early for Subuh prayer then start my next task in the kitchen lol.  As told to the kiddos I gonna cook Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api and below is the receipe for you guys to try.

Bang Yong is having his Economic paper this morning at 1100hrs and that will be the last paper for him and wishing all the best!  As usual this is his kind of food so he apa lagi makan jer la.  Love to see him eating as he he really love it!  Same goest to Icha maybe she is hungry coz last nite she dint eat roti canai coz ZZZZZ early.happy
Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api..Icha yg tgh layan makan...Cauliflower with prawn


Ingredients
2 kg Thigh chicken (with bones)
1 Lemongrass
1 Turmeric leaves coz its smell nicer n I can eat it too or Kaffic Lime leaves
1 tin coconut milk
Salt 
Potatoes, asam keping (souring agent)

To blend until fine:
5 Clove garlic with 4cm Ginger, 2 tspn Turmeric powder but best to use fresh turmeric and 5-8 Cili padi (small red chillies-warning: they are very spicy)
Method
  • Marinate chicken thigh with ginger, garlic, turmeric, salt, chilli powder for at least 30 minutes
  • Heat up oil and fry the marinated chicken thigh. Only fry till it is half cook and leave aside to cool.
  • Using the same oil, fry the blended ingredients
  • Bruise the lemongrass and chuck it in the pot
  • Add the tumeric leaves or kaffir lime leaves, turmeric powder and stir
  • Add the fried chicken, potatoes, coconute milk, water.
  • Cook for another 15 minutes and keep stirring to evenly spread the gravy all over the chicken.
  • Add the salt to taste
  • Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes and its ready to eat!
